- 4 Slices of Good-quality Bread
- 4 Slices of Deli Ham
- 4 Slices of Your Choice of Cheese (Try Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack)
-
Cibolo Junction Jalapeño Raspberry Preserves
- 1 Jalapeño, Thinly Sliced (Optional)
- 1 Large Egg
- ¼ Cup Milk
Directions
Spread a thin layer of Cibolo Junction Jalapeño Raspberry on two of the bread slices. On the same two slices, place one slice of cheese, followed by two slices of ham, a few slices of jalapeño (if using) and another slice of cheese. Top with remaining bread to create a sandwich.
Prepare the Batter. In a shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk until well combined.
Cook the Sandwiches. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with a bit of butter or cooking spray.
- Dip each assembled sandwich into the egg and milk batter, coating both sides.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
Serve with additional Cibolo Junction Jalapeño Raspberry Preserves on the side.
